NYC Runs Half Marathon
Last year, an event-record 21,727 runners took part in this classic Brooklyn running experience.
The one-of-a-kind, bucket list run starts in hip North Brooklyn and winds around the waterfront taking you under the historic Williamsburg, Manhattan, and Brooklyn Bridges while delivering eye popping views of the Manhattan skyline.
From there, the route heads up the historic concourses of Fulton Street and Flatbush Avenue before passing through Grand Army Plaza and into fabled brownstone Brooklyn, finishing with a super fun post-race hang in Prospect Park.

Frosty Forest Trail 5K
FROSTY GOES OFF ROAD !
FYI: After seven races, this eighth race, will be the last running of the Frosty Forest 5K: Start time is 10 AM. This adventure occurs at the Town of Stratford's own Roosevelt Forest, giving you a wonderful opportunity to "get off the road" and onto the trails with nature and who knows, maybe we can see Frosty running, too? Yes, you can dress up in any Holiday costume and run, however a little trail experience is mandatory. You can choose to run, jog, hike or walk the 5K and visit a new panorama with the promise of the "Holiday Spirit " moving along with you. There will be an award for the top 5 overall fastest finishers !. All completing the course will receive a custom designed finisher's medallion.
A portion of the proceeds will include the Roosevelt Forest Commission, Veteran's Museum, Stratford Library and others. Also, many thanks to the "paid" Volunteers for their time and effort; well worth the price in the support of the entrants. They and I thank you for registering. Lastly to support the integrity of the race and cost incurred, THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR DEFERRALS, but will be considered a donation. Happy Christmas and Happy Trails to All and to All, a good run !

Niantic Jingle 5K
Celebrate the 11th Niantic Jingle 5K at McCooks Park in Niantic on Saturday, December 14th.
Registration begins at 8:30. The Walk/Run starts at 10am.
Run, walk, push a stroller! Alone or together with a team, help make a difference and raise funds for the Brian Dagle Foundation and Brian's Healing Hearts Center for Hope and Healing we are "anchored in hope and empowered to support, is dedicated to the healing of grieving adults as well as community education on suicide prevention and awareness."
North Canaan Santa Chase 5K
Fairly flat out-and-back starting downtown at the elementary school, run north on West Main to the state line, turn around and finish back at the school. Mile marks, water at the finish, chip timing. Awards will be based on Gun finish time. 5K. USATF sanctioned race. USATF certified 5K course (CT21001JHP), COVID-19 protocols may be requjred (masks and social distancing), Awards will be made available around noon at the Great Falls Brewing Company. NIA Jingle Bell Run
Run on Saturday, Dec 7th as the Nichols Improvement Association presents the 36th edition of our holiday classic. The NIA Jingle Bell Run takes place on a scenic, rolling hill 5K course through the heart of the Nichols community. Walkers are welcome to participate as well. For our younger runners, we will have our JBR Fun Run prior to the 5k! Our costume contest and a special visit from Santa will elevate the holiday festivities!
